Earthrise
Inspired by Major General Bill Anders’ iconic 1968 Apollo 8 photograph, “Earthrise” captures the profound awe and vulnerability of seeing our entire planet from deep space for the first time. This timeless leap in human perspective is honored here through an atmospheric, driving tribute.
Produced by Gary Johnson under his classic trance project TSR2, “Earthrise” turns that historic NASA lunar milestone into a golden-era inspired trance production. Recorded entirely in a custom studio utilizing analog and vintage synthesizers, the track masterfully blends cinematic scale, authentic mission dialogue, emotional orchestral strings, and intricately sequenced arpeggios reminiscent of the iconic 1998–2002 era of electronic music.
